Why can’t have my dental veneers on the NHS like I did 11 years ago?

Q. Hello, 11 years I had 6 veneers fitted and half of the cost was paid by the National Health. My dentist at the time has since retired and his replacement says I have to pay full price. Is this reasonable, as I can’t afford to pay the full price and I will be left with awful looking teeth. Surely if I was granted National Health before, why not now? Can you tell me if there is anything I can do or who to contact for help,
A. Things have changed with regards to NHS treatment so you might not be eligible for this treatment on the NHS now i’m afraid.
