Why can a private dentist give me the treatment but the NHS can’t?

Q. My dentist says he has gone as far as he can on the root canal treatment on one of my back teeth. He says there is are about three parts of the nerve left about 5mm long. He has said a private clinic could do it but it could not be done on the NHS. Why can a private dentist appear to be able to do it ? The alternative is to have it out.,
A. The difference is…that a private clinic can spend the time and have all the correct facilities and equipment to do specialist endodontic treatment. I wouldn’t advise that you have the tooth taken out, because regaining a fixed tooth back in this area can be nearly just as expensive as having the tooth re-root treated by a specialist. Hope this has helped.
