Where should i go for my cold sore on my gum to the dentist or gum disease specialist?
Q. I recently have this really cold sore on my gum and it started turned white and really burn. I went and poked at it and I find that I have a hole in my gum, it is not near my teeth, it is above the teeth near the side of my right and left mouth. Is it a tumor or cancer, if it is what recommendation can you suggest so I can go see someone. Do I have to go to the dentist or a gum disease specialist?
A. See a dentist as a quick route to early advice it is most likely to be a draining abscess but other causes should be excluded
