What treatment can close up gapped teeth?

Q. I am 29 years old. I had braces when I was 16 years old, and because I didn’t wear my retainer, it didn’t close the gap permanently. I gap is between my upper two front teeth. Will I just went to see a Invisiline doctor the other day, and he said I need to wear a permanent retainer in the back of my two font teeth, I need the spaces created (he will create them) in my bottom row teeth (because my jaw pops, when I open it, and finally I must wear retainers forever, Is this typical, ie. having spaces created in my bottom teeth so that the upper front teeth will close? My bottom teeth are perfect, I am just worried about having them cut into,
A. I think it is a good idea to get a second opinion. There may be other options to wearing retainers for the rest of your life. We give free Invisalign consulations and I will be able to check your jaw problems for you.Justin Glaisterwww.umbrellasmiles.com
