What is the best option for my buck teeth, orthodontics or veneers?

Q.
Hi there, I am 22 years old and never smile with my teeth out as they stick out at the front. It looks like I sucked my thumb when I was young although i didnt. When i clench my teeth i can fit the tip of my thumb under my front teeth.
I have been looking at veneers as they look good and seem to be in my price range but would i be able to get them as my teeth stick out. i would like my teeth to be straight but from research braces seem far too expensive. if i had veneers would my teeth still look like they stick out?

Hi

Veneers can be used to correct teeth that stick out, however they can be a little invasive if tooth surface has to be reduced. If you have a gap as you describe and place veneers they may also look a bit longer than natural teeth and your lip position should also be considered.

From the smile you describe I would recommend you speak to a specialist orthodontist or at least a cosmetic dentist with orthodontic experience.

Good luck
