What emergency measures can be taken to ensure that I can keep my front tooth?

Q. Dear Dr Solanki Over the years, I have had two crowns on my upper left incisor. There isn’t very much of the original tooth left. The tooth is now weak the crown is loose. My dentist thinks the root may have softened over time. The post in the crown is not broken. My concern is about the whole thing coming apart before I can start my treatment in 1 to 2 weeks. What emergency measures can be taken to ensure that I can keep my front tooth? Many thanks.,
A. Just be carefull with eating around that tooth, If the tooth was to come out your dentist could put it back in as a temporary measure untill your next appointment.
