Yes. If you don’t want to have braces you can have veneers or crowns placed to change the position of the teeth.

Hi there, I have been for a consultation about getting lingual braces on the bottom part of my teeth. The dentist said i would need to file my teeth to make space rather than taking a tooth out. Does this sound right? He said i will need them in not over 9months and has charged me £2000 for it. This seems cheap in comparison with the prices i have seen advertised on the net for lingual braces.. is this normal or am i somehow being ripped off???

Hi That does sound extremely cheap. If you are concerned I would ask what form of qualifications does the clinician have and to show examples of cases treated by them.

Hello, I just got my braces off about 4 wks ago. I have been wearing clear essix retainers 24/7 for the entire 4 wks. when I take my retainers out to brush/eat/etc, my bite does not feel right. I am in class I occlusion, the only problem is my left molars are not totally in occlusion. They are not touching, there is a slight space there. Is there something that can be done to fix this now that my braces are off? I am having popping in my jaw on that side as well so I really want to get this corrected. Is there a way to bring those two maxillary molars down a little bit into occlusion? Thanks.

Would I get orthodontics treatment from NHS if I have this situation. I’m over 18. Grade 3 Grade 3 is for more marked irregularities with the teeth that do not usually need treatment for health reasons. For example: upper front teeth that protrude 4mm less than normal the upper teeth are slightly out of position which only interferes with normal function to a minor degree (less than 2mm) irregularly positioned teeth that are 4mm or less out of line the back teeth do not touch each other when the mouth is closed (this is known as an open bite) the lower teeth are overlapped by the upper teeth (this is known as a deep bite), but this does not interfere with normal function. How to book for consultation?

Unfortunately if you’re over 18 then you won’t get orthodontics on the NHS
