What can I do to hide the gaps in my teeth?
Q.
I have gum disease and have developed gaps in between my front teeth as well – could I still have cosmetic dentistry to fill the gaps? I am 62 and have several fillings and one recent crown but I am embarrassed by my gappy smile which has only become a problem in the last few years. I am worried that veneers or suchlike will irritate my gums. I am also a bit of a wimp! The enamel on my teeth is quite thin though my teeth are not as sensitive as they used to be since using Proenamel toothpaste but I don’t want to have anything painful.

Composite bonding may be a great solution for you. There are also techniques to graft back on your missing gum and even some removable prosthetic devices that look almost identical to gum. Veneers could also be the most ideal solution. Please come to see me or go to a cosmetic dentist with experience in these treatments near to you
