What can I do about my two dead teeth?

Q. Dear Dr Tennet, My two front teeth had undergone root canal treatment around 2 years ago. I’m now 20 and still not completely happy with the appearance of my teeth as they were internally bleached but still hinder that grey discolouring which makes me very self conscious. I was looking into getting crowns/ veneers. But are these posible for my teeth? Or are there any other possible treatments? And would I have to have my front teeth removed in the future because they are dead?

A. Hopefully the root canal treatment will last. The choice between crowns vs veneers will depend on how much solid tooth you have left. In general Veneers are good if there is a solid base to support them. it is important to get fairly opaque restorations to mask the underlying colour and that the dentist records the underlying tooth colour to assist the technician making the restoration.
