what can be done to fix my bone loss due to gum disease?

Q. Hi, I am worried sick. Have been visiting my dentist 3 monthly for many years now due to receeding gums. Things seemed to be getting worse so I visited another dentist who has referred me urgently to dental hospital, apparently I have lost a significant amount of bone due to gum disease. What can be done?

A. The condition can be stabilised and in some cases particular areas can have bone regenerated. The new dentist or the hospital will discuss this once you are stabilised
