What can be done for my weak jawline?

Q. Hi Dr Caplan,I have a weak jawline if I slide my bottom set of my teeth to touch the top front ones in makes me look like I have a better profile. I’m not sure if there is any sort of gum shield to put in the back set of my teeth to help do this. You are probably thinking I’m crazy but I constatntly walk around with my lower and upper teeth touching together. Nobody can notice but it makes me look like I have a better shaped jawline. I’m not sure if this is anything to do with cosmetic dentistry but I want something to help my chin to be enhanced more and my jawline to look stronger. I have had a chinimplant but I’m still not satisfied and I wondered it I can get something put in my mouth so help to slide my jaw slightly more forward. I don’t care if its something I have to wear everyday. I hope you can help. Please email back even if it is just to say there is no such a thing. Thanks,
A. It sounds as though your problem would be solved with an operation called a bilateral sagital split of your lower jaw – this will permanently move your lower jaw forwards
