There is a tiny gap after having them cleaned. Is there any way to close the gap?

Q. i have recently had a gum problem ever since they cleaned it out i have a tiny gap is there any home treatments to close my teeth back together? Thankyou,
A. Dear Enquirer, Gum cleaning does not cause or create gaps, even though you may feel it as the instruments used for cleaning the gums are designed to be ‘tooth friendly’ and they cannot cut or damge your teeth. Without seeing you it is diificult to say, but you probably had some element of gum disease which has been corrected with the treatment. You cannot close the space in between the teeth at the gum level but you should ask your dentist /hygienist to give you advice on how to look after your gums. Regards, Sunta
