There is a problem with my CEREC crown, can you give me some advice?

Q. I had a cerec crown fitted last October on my lower mouth, right hand side. I told my dentist it was niggling me and didn’t feel right. He gave me a course of antibiotics. On the next visit I told him it was still the same and he gave me a stronger course of antibiotics. In December I told him it was the same and after an xray he told me everything looked fine and their was no sign of infection. Seven months down the line and I could pull my tooth out. It is so uncomfortable and I can feel pain when my jaws close. I also have movement with the tooth. I have explained all this to my dentist and he told me that it’s impossible for me to feel pain as I also had root canal in the same tooth. I had a cerec crown fitted on my lower left side (without root canal) in December and it has never bothered me so I know something is not right. Your advice would be greatly appreciated.,
A. When you have a ot fled tooth, generally- unless there is an underlying infection- you won’t feel any pain from the tooth. that doesn’t mean that you won’t get any pain from the gum around it. It could be that you have a gum problem around the tooth that is causing problems ike the mobility of t. It also could be that the bite is too high- which may just need some adjustments making to the crown- this could be the cause of the problems you have had on biting. I would suggest that yo get a 2nd opinion from another dentist- if there is one at your racice. You have a right to do this and you realy need to get to the cause of this problem. Good luck.
