i had impression to my teeth but my teeth has gone more yellow is this possible?

Friday, May 8th, 2009
Q.
Hello today I have impressions done to my teeth and you might think I have gone crazy but I notice that my teeth hasa gone more yellow. Is this possible? moreover I have noticed that a bit of my shiny cover (enamel?) is gone from one of my teeth. Is the technique so agressive that this is likely to happen? I am quite frustrated because i did it to get a night guard to stop me grinding in the night and now I don’t know if it was such a good idea… Thanks for comments

my teeth are naturally yellow give me some home remedies as i am desperate

Monday, April 27th, 2009
Q.
I am 16 and my teeth are naturally yellow. It’s gotten to the point where I avoid photos and cover my mouth when talking to people because I hate the way my teeth look. I can’t afford professional whitening and I have tried lots of home toothpastes but they all just remove stains. (I always brush my teeth at least twice a day and never drink coffee, smoke etc. so this is not the problem.) Please give me some home remedies as I am desperate, thanks.

The proceline crowns I had 3 years ago gone horrible wrong none to trust please help

Tuesday, April 21st, 2009
Q.
Hi, I have had crowns, (albeit only temps when i was little) since i was 10 due to an accident were i broke my teeth. I had proper crowns fitted when i was 18 and had them in for 10 years, they fitted nice good colour etc but unfortunatly i snapped one…. so i decided to have them replaced 3 years ago and have them done private (more expensive porceline crowns) Well within a year into having them on,they had moved position and they have gone yellow? they discolour more so i have noticed when i go on the sunbed? My dentist said he has no idea why they have done this and says they shoukdnt, but was unwilling to replace them for free or even at a discount! Its now a further 2 years on and they are terrible and i really need them replacing and all my teeth whitening, but i have lost faith in whom to trust to were go to get them replaced? as i dont have the kind of money to keep paying out for them if this is to happen every few years? Thankyou

i just got a filling in my front tooth and now is extemely sensitive can it be fix in nhs?

Monday, April 20th, 2009
Q.
Hi i have recently missed an appointment at my nhs dentist due to illness. as this was the second appointment i missed i have been removed from the practise. at my previous visit i had a filling in my front tooth, which was only slightly discoloured and was not painful at all. since havin this done my tooth is extemely sensitive and it hurts when i touch where the filling is. Shall i see if the same dentist can fix it for me at the practise where i cant go or shall i just find another nhs dentist. also i was wondering the best whitening process would be either professionally or from over the counter, my teeth are naturally yellow n this really gets me down. i wont even have my picture taken. can this be done on the nhs???

Can a 70 year olds teeth be too white?

Friday, April 3rd, 2009
Q.
Can an older (almost 70years) have teeth that are too white? My husband is needing a bridge on his lower front teeth and caps on 4 of his upper teeth (all but his canines.) He has whitened his teeth, but they are still quite yellow. Should we use a veneer on his canines and make them whiter? (I realize without seeing the color, you will only be giving me a general opinion.) My primary question is: Can you go too white on a 70 year old. Does it just look unnatural? Thank you for your time in answering this question.

I have chipped yellow teeth with thin enamel can I get veneers on nhs?

Monday, March 30th, 2009
Q.
My teeth are jagged (from child hood grinding in my sleep)and also slightly yellowing. Futhermore, the front quarter of my tooth is now chipped. The enamel on my left front tooth is so thin on the bottom (see through) that it looks likley to do the same at some point. I have Cystic Fibrosis which means that I have had to eat a high calorie diet to sustain my weight from birth and I also take regular antibotics orally and via a nebuliser and inhalers which have not helped either. I also have severe vitimain D deficiancy which I am on medication for. My dentist is unsympathetic. Her latest attempt at covering my chip looks terrible and discoloured. In three years I have had the tooth filler/cover re-done four times already as it keeps coming off. It means that I not avoid certain foods such as apples for instance. Its starting to affect my confidence. Do you think I would be a suitable candiate for veeners and would I be able to get them on the nhs? I cant really afford them but at 26 I just want a solution that will protect my own teeth (especially the enamel) and that is strong and long lasting so that I can smile with confidence. Thank-you.
