On removal of teeth how long do i have to wait to get dentures fixed

Q.
I am about to have all my top tth removede under sedation. I understand I have to allow my gums to heal but my dentist says I must ‘give him a ring in 3-4 weeks time’ to plan the making/fitting of dentures. As I use speech as the way I ork (counselling) I am concerned that I wont be able to speak well and therefore how long must I reasonably expect to be off work? I do not have faith in my dentist as he is very impersonal. Any sugestions?

My concern is that the denture will affect the rest of my teeth

Hi, I am a 57 year old woman who has had a partial denture fitted on the right upper jaw as I have no molars. My concern is that the denture will affect the rest of my teeth. I have been reassured by my dentist this will not happen but I remain unconvinced. What do you think? Thanking you greatly for any advice given.

I need to know if 4 mini inplants would be enought to hold denture in and if it is ok to have them put in the same day

I have 6 remaining teeth on top, my dentist says it is time to let them go, lots of cavaties and caps and decay is underneath teeth. so we have decieded to go with top denture with 4 mini inplants. also I have a palate in top of my that swells and has a extra bone, I am not planning on surgery for that but the denture can’t have no palate so I need to know if 4 mini inplants would be enought to hold denture in and if it is ok to have them put in the same day I have teeth pulled cause the teeth wont stay in no other way thank-you

I have broken decay or missing teeth what is the best option

My front 4 teeth are just fine on the top, however the rest on either side are either broken, decaying or missing. What would be my best bet with dentures? Partials, over dentures, or complete upper set?

Hi my 9 yrs old son has been badly hurt on a zip wire swing. He’s lost 2 top teeth. On his bottom jaw he’s had an op but think he will lose 4 there. His jaw is broken across his chin. this happend yesterday. Is this something that you would or could fix so he can smile without me crying. Hi, I have been doing research on different types of partial dentures for my front teeth to make my teeth more attractive because I cannot afford veneers. I am not missing any teeth but I do have chipped teeth and bonding does not hold up. I was wondering if the Valplast would work for me because I am not missing any teeth or if the “flipper” type would work better? And what the price would be for 8 fake upper teeth in both types?

would like to know how dentures are fixed to stay in place if only needed for top back teeth..

Due to pronlonged use of inhaler and oral steriods to control chronic asthma, my teeth have become week at the back and have cracked, often bits coming off when eating. I also had to go through a surgical menopause which again can influence my general health. I am happy to have the teeth pulled as feel implants may not be a good idea if my bone structure if weakened so would like to know how dentures are fixed to stay in place if only needed for top back teeth.. if they are attached to my front teeth would this pull and damage these too?
