My 17 year old son had his front tooth kicked out

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008
Q.
My 17 year old son as been assaulted and had his front tooth kicked out,the one next to it is chipped. A dentist as advised that a Maryland bridge is the best option and the chipped tooth to be filled. I just wanted to know considering his age whether this is the best option. Thank you.

my mother 72 has lost 2 teeth which are within the visible smile

Tuesday, November 4th, 2008
Q.
My mother is 72. She takes approx 2mg of Warfarin daily as she has a mechanical aortic valve. Her INR is extremelly erratic and she has to have blood tests twice weekly as INR can vary from 2 to 4 within a week. She has lost 2 teeth which are within the visible smile (and 2 others to the side of her mouth). She has just had a plastic bridge constructed and is totally dissatisfied with it. It is enormous and is shaped to the roof of her mouth (has 4 attached dentures). She cannot eat or sleep with it and feels sick as she has a constant gagging feeling. She only really needs the 2 teeth replaced. Is there another option? A metal bridge? Teeth rooted into the gum mechanically? Dental implants? Clearly she is not a straight forward case due to the INR fluctuation but any advice or alternative to the current situation would be greatly appreciated. I live in London and she can stay with me for any procedures. Many thanks

I am 43 years old and I have lost 3 teeth

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008
Q.
I am 43 years old and I have lost 3 teeth and have one crown. Although most of these are near the back I hate smiling just in case people notice. I don’t have alot of confidence in my current dentist who gives no real feedback on my teeth. I have considered implants but the cost is an issue. What can I do?

I used to have a bridge on my upper right

Thursday, October 23rd, 2008
Q.
Hi,I used to have a bridge on my upper right over 4 and 5 attached by crown to 6. I have since had to have tooth number 3 removed and now have a partial denture. Is it possible to have a new bridge made which will cover 3,4 and five attached to 6? All of my teeth are crowned and I still have a bridge on the lower left. Many thanks,Laura

i took one molar out when I was 12

Sunday, September 14th, 2008
Q.
I took one molar out when I was 12. (now I am 19) now… the place where I took the molar out has dissapeared, (bone atrophy) and the problem is that my face is misshaped now because on one side I have all the molars and on another I have one missing. To do something about it I thought to take 3 more molars to balance the structure of my face and becuse the molars were very damaged anyway and needed to be tken out (this happened last year) now i regret taking out so many molars out and I want to now if i can have implants especially on the side where i took the molar out when i was 12. i would also like to mention that i also need orthodontic treatmeant because i have a deep overbite. what shoud i do first. thank you.
