Can I get braces for free if I am on Jobseeker’s Allowance?

I asked my dentist for braces when I was 13 years old. I waited over a year for an appointment to get braces. When I went to attend my appointment, I was told that my appointment was made earlier and a letter was sent to my house. By this time I had moved house so I was not aware of the appointment change. Later I visited my dental surgery and it showed on the computer that my treatment had been done. Later I explained to my dentist and he gave me another appointment but I was told to get my braces done later at the dental hospital. Now I am 20 and receiving Jobseeker’s Allowance.

I have spoken to my dentist and was informed that I have to pay over £4000 to get braces and implants in place of extracted teeth.

Is there any way I can get it for free or get help with the cost as I am not working and it would take me years to save £4000?  Thank you for your time.

I Recently Got Laid Off And I Need Braces, Will The NHS Provide The Treatment?

Hey Dr Moore. I’m 20 years old and I have always worked but I recently got laid off and now I’m on jobseekers allowance, but I really need braces as my front teeth are not too bad but they hurt at times and it feels like they’re pushing each other out and it’s painful. So now they’re overlapping a little bit and I have been scared to go back to the dentist because the last time I had a really bad experience.  Just wanted some help and advice, Hope you can help me and offer any other suggestions. Will I Be Able To Get Dental Implants For Free Whilst Claiming Job-Seekers Allowance?

Hi, I have been looking for a good dentist for a long time and finally I saw your website and I was relieved. I have got some quite extensive problems with my teeth but I have not got the amount of money the dental implants are priced at, therefore I wanted to ask you, If I’m claiming job-seekers allowance, do I still have to pay the full price for dental implants? Also, is it possible to stabilise dentures? If yes, how much do they cost if I was claiming job-seekers allowance? Thank you in advance for your consideration, I hope to hear from you soon.

Can you treat me for free on the NHS and give me four crowns?

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am currently in need of some dental treatment and would be grateful if you could send me a quote for the treatment.

I need to do dental crowns for my four front teeth, however, since I am on Jobseeker�s allowance, I believe I do get free treatment. I am not sure how the costs work out for dental Crowns.

I would appreciate if you could send me full details of the cost involved and what are my options. I do understand if there is a fee, I can do the dental Crowns on NHS treatment. Lastly, do send me details of next available appointment and how long it takes to do the treatment as well as the cost for temporary dental Crowns.
