On one of my teeth the gum line seems to have recceded. I brush my teeth regularly about 3-4 times a day so i dont understand why this is happening to me. Im so embarrased to smile and to even speak to people. I dont have a dentist and i cant find one either i just need to know what i can do and where can i go to get it done. I really would appreciate your help because im desperate. Thankyou

i live in haslington in cheshire i would like to have my teeth sorted badly but am afraid of dentist

Monday, May 18th, 2009
Q.
Hello, I know this may be a long shot, but I hope that you maybe able to help. I’m stuck in a position and not sure what to do, as I suffer from Depression/anxiety panic attacks I have a fear of going to the dentist. I never had a problem going to the dentist until I was 16 (1996)when I changed dentist, I was having treatment and was in pain but the dentist wasn’t polite with me. I didn’t go again till 2000, but in a different area, and again I came across the same problem. My teeth are in bad shape, the look cleanish, but I know they they are all bad. I was wondering if you could give me any advice on what to do. I am unemployed and claiming incapacity benefit, which I know that I will have to pay for consultation/treatment. Which I would need help with or a payment plan?? I would like my teeth sorted badly, but am afraid of dentist and find it difficult to find an understanding one. I live in Haslington in Cheshire. If you could help me in advice or anything, this would be very much appreciated. Many thanks

my cosmetic bonding just got chipped off would you recommend getting it replaced asap?

Monday, May 18th, 2009
Q.
Hello, I had some cosmetic bonding on a chip on the front right hand side of my upper 2nd premolar due to a fall 3 weeks ago. Unfortunately 3 days ago, exactly two weeks after it was bonded, it came out. Is it OK to wait 5 weeks until my next routine appointment with my dentist to get it replaced, or would you recommend getting it replaced ASAP? I am staying away from my hometown for another 4 weeks and a trip to visit my dentist is not really that feasible. Also have I got any other options – if it has fallen out so quickly it seems to me that that does not bode well for the future.

Saturday, May 16th, 2009
Q.
I have asthma and I am also diabetic I have several broken teeth which I am concerned about as I work in a public facing job. Several of the teeth would need to be removed. As I gagg when I am at the dentist I have not been for sometime. Would a dentist be prepared to treat me under sedation on the NHS. Some people are saying due to the asthma I may have to be referred to the hospital? Please advise me on this matter as I do not know what to do.

can you go to any dentist to get the lumineers cleaned or should i go to a cosmetic dentist?

Friday, May 15th, 2009
Q.
Hi, Should you be able to see the margin where the lumineer stop underneath the gumline? If this shows, does that mean that it wasn’t properly placed, and what can be done about it? Crest Prohealth mouthwash has been known to brown the natural teeth, will it also brown or stain the lumineers, as well? Can a medium bristle toothbrush be used to brush your lumineers with, or will this damage them, making ridges in them or dulling the glaze on them? Lastly, can you go to any dentist to get the lumineers cleaned, although that dentist does not specialize nor place any lumineers on his patients, or would it be wiser to go to a cosmetic dentist who does lumineers? Thanks in advance

my 4 yr old son got his nine teeth removed without my consultation is this right

Thursday, May 14th, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr Tennet, Unfortunately my little 4 year old son went under general anaestethic today and the dentist who was removing the teeth told us that my son may have to get some filled and some taken out, well after waiting 2hrs he came out and told us it was ok to go into see him. When we got to him there was a lady there with him and she said he had nine teeth removed. This was so traumatic to us as he did not consult with us to let us know how many he was going to take out. Does this sound right to you
