My teeth has become extra sensitive would the teeth look normal after white fillings

Tuesday, May 26th, 2009
Q.
Hi my two front teeth have lost enamel on the top half of the teeth, it has been like this for a few years now, but recently they have become extra sensitive. My dentist is going to use white fillings on them. Will the teeth look normal after this and how long do white fillings last for? thanks

Q.
Hi, I need three small fillings inbetween a couple of my front teeth. The dentist has quoted £120 each which I though was a lot judging by other prices on the internet. Do you think this is expensive and orth getting a second opinion?

Monday, April 20th, 2009
Q.
Hello, I have mercury fillings and would like to remove them, I was told that unless they are waring down and getting old I should not remove them, because the mercury released while removing the fillings is a much highter then the mercury being released from chewing. Is this true?

Monday, April 20th, 2009
Q.
My husband went in for a new filling to replace anold one,he didn’t have a problem, dentist suggested getting it done The problem, its been 10 days,he can barely open his mouth, his jaw aches, his ear ache, and today he was in tears with the pain He even went back to the dentist after 7 days and she said tooth was fine today he went to the hospital, they gave him, intervenus antibiotics, and intervenus pain meds he came home with antibiotics, muscle relaxants and anti-inflametory drugs,he has athma,so I told him what the risks were, why hasn’t his pain gotten better Does a dentist since the mouth is the place that carries the most germs and bateria, should of cleane dthe area before the 5 injections it took to numb his tooth? He knew the needle location would be soar, but he can’t even get his mouth open wide enough for him to get his pinky finger in it also was an upper mollar, and he even has swelling, which he had when he went back to the dentist he has to stay home a few days now,My husband has never taken any time off work for being sick in about 15 years, for him to stay home means he is really in bad shape how could this have happened, and whats worse he is so upset,he got a tooth redone that was fine, horrible when having dental benfits through union, these dentist offer lots if he is still bad by tomorrow Monday,i will have to take him back to the hospital,he will not trust the dentist where does the local go to numb the area?nerve?muscle?had the area have bacteria and dentist didn’t clean area,or dentist never clean an area before local injection?

i just got a filling in my front tooth and now is extemely sensitive can it be fix in nhs?

Monday, April 20th, 2009
Q.
Hi i have recently missed an appointment at my nhs dentist due to illness. as this was the second appointment i missed i have been removed from the practise. at my previous visit i had a filling in my front tooth, which was only slightly discoloured and was not painful at all. since havin this done my tooth is extemely sensitive and it hurts when i touch where the filling is. Shall i see if the same dentist can fix it for me at the practise where i cant go or shall i just find another nhs dentist. also i was wondering the best whitening process would be either professionally or from over the counter, my teeth are naturally yellow n this really gets me down. i wont even have my picture taken. can this be done on the nhs???
