How easy it would be to remove the current veneers and replace it

Friday, August 7th, 2009
Q.
I had two veneers fitted on my front teeth approximately twenty years ago. Over the years my gums have receeded and the tops of my own teeth are showing through and are discoloured (yellowy). In addition, the rest of my teeth are yellowing and the veneers look whiter. I would like to know how easy it would be (assuming it is possible) to remove the current veneers, have my teeth whitened and then replace the veneers to match the colour following whitening. I would also like to know how much this would cost roughly and how many visits I would need.

Is it advisable get the veneers replaced for an improved one

Friday, August 7th, 2009
Q.
Hi, Hope you can help? I have had veneers fitted but one of the central front ones is completely the wrong size (too small) and does not match its counterpart. I have been advised that this one can be replaced for an improved one to fit with the others better, but I am very worried that, as it will be made at a different time to the others, that it might look even worse and end up a different colour. Is there any technique to avoid this happening? Any advise/reassurance would be great, thanks

My teeth are in pall yellow are veneers the next step for a whiter smile

Friday, August 7th, 2009
Q.
My question is really two. My teeth are pail yellow. Are veneers the next step for a whiter smile, when you have already used at home kits – such as Crest White Strips – and they did little to nothing to whiten your teeth? And, if so, how much is the cost of such a thing(in Canada)?

My front tooth looks wonky is it advisable to have 8 of my teeth veneered

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009
Q.
I have signs of gum disease, however under the guidance of my dentist am keeping it at bay. My front teeth have been filled in the past as i had a gap, however over time these now look wonky and when i bite dont feel straight. i wonder if i would be able to have veneers on these. I do have two veneers already on my side canines. I haVE been told that it is advisable To hAVE AT LEAST 8 TEETH VENEERED AS THEY CAN LOOK THICKER THAN YOUR NATURAL TEETH.

One of my tooth is pushed back, is it right to have veneers at this situation

Monday, August 3rd, 2009
Q.
I wore a fixed brace two years ago and since then one tooth had pushed back just a little. I went to an orthadontist who quoted a price of £2,800 for the treatment. do you think this is a reasonable quotation? i want to emphasise that my tooth hasn’t moved that much!! also i was talking to a friend who had some veneers in and thought the world of them. is this a situation where i could possibly consider just a veneer on the tooth to give the impression that it’s straight?

My front teeth are slightly overlaps should i go for veneer or to get braces

Monday, August 3rd, 2009
Q.
Hi Dr, My front 4 teeth slightly overlap and have holes in the middle, one tooth is slightly chipped. I would love to have perfectly straight teeth without the holes and chips. I asked my dentist and she said I would need 4 Veneers but I also could go to an orthodontist to get these teeth straightened and then filling them would be no problem and it might be better. I’m not sure what is the best thing to do – get braces and then end up getting veneers also, taking more time and money or just getting veneers now to solve all my problems but in the long run what would the benefits be am I better to try to preserve my natural teeth as long as possible? Also my daugther is 10 and her teeth are very crooked bottom and top. She still has some baby teeht and her eye teeth have not come down yet – is it too early to start orthodontic treatment?

My front teeth are spreading so can ive veneers in NHS to stop it from spreading

Monday, August 3rd, 2009
Q.
Around 5-6 years ago i had my two front teeth at the top taken out and replaced with false teeth also because they were sticking out and spreading they had to add an extra false tooth in to hide the space but in the last two years i noticed that i now have big gaps appearing in between my teeth and my teeth are still spreading like a fan. i would like to replace my teeth with vaneers to stop them spreading and reduce my dental bills but i am presently on income support can i get it done on the nhs so as to increase my confidence again. just 2 days ago i lost one of my teeth at the front on the bottom so i do need my teeth seeing to as soon as possible
