how much are dental implants on NHS

Wednesday, September 10th, 2008
Q.
Hi, I would really like your advice. My back teeth are very decayed and I think will have to be removed (probably the last 2 on each side, lower and maybe upper). I am very scared about going to the dentist, in case he tells me I need dentures but I know I need to see him soon. I am only 24. What are my other options, implants? How much do they cost on NHS.

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008
Q.
Hi, My teeth are in a very bad way, I have numerous broken, old crowns that have come off and such. Just through neglect and having a general low self esteem due to personal reasons. However I now have two wonderful daugthers I want to smile like a dad should. My local NHS dentist is referring me to manchester dental hospital, he has recommend removal of all the remaining teeth and having dentures. What would the cost be of this?

I need an upper left premolar and adjacent molar extracted

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008
Q.
I need an upper left premolar and adjacent molar extracted. I am keen on getting implants to replace these teeth. My dentist offers implantology, but he has only placed 40 implants so far (with 100% success). I trust him and consider his work very good, but would I be better to look for a dentist who has placed hundreds or even thousands? He assures me that he would be mentored throughout by a more experienced surgeon.

I have recently been quoted for bridge work

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008
Q.
I have recently been quoted for bridge work… I require 4 upper teeth at the front & 1 at the side. & two separate teeth at the bottom. I think I require 5 crowns. This work will be done over a few appointments & two full Saturdays. The dentist will take me 200 miles to meet with the lab so they see what I look like, hair, face etc. Do you think 8k seems a fair price? His work is highly recommended.

Dental implant or bridge for missing tooth im from california

Tuesday, September 9th, 2008
Q.
Dr. Rob, I’m undecided whether to have a dental implant or a bridge on tooth #19. I had a root canal in 97 and retreat in 98. I’m a grinder, and wear a mouth piece. Ijust had a cap put on # 18 due to a re-filling and large crack. I take excellent care of my teeth. I had braces. My bite is off a bit. I’ve tried to do extentsive research of both implants, and bridges. One site was Failure of dental implants, and that scared me, so I started looking into bridges. I’ve been to 1 dentist, who constiuning insists I get a bone graft and tooth implant, for $12,000. At this point, I’m not sure what to do. Would so appreciate you imput. I live in California. Thank you.
