My dentist told my daughter her painful tooth was fine, she had to have it removed since! Any advice please?

My 10 yr old daughter has made two visits to our NHS dentist in the past 4-5months as she was complaining of toothache in a lower lhs tooth. The dentist made an examination on both occasions and said the tooth was fine and only sensitive. She has since had to visit an emergency dentist due to pain, and he said the tooth is so badly decayed it is past saving and requires extraction! He also said it had been this way for some time. Can you please offer any advice? I am also upset as she will be left with a gap as this is an adult tooth. Are there any options in this case please? Thanking You,

Is there something I can do to stop the decay?

Hello, at my last visit, my dentist told me that I have a decay where my bridge was put 25 years ago. he said that it is too late to do anything now as the bone is gone (!) , the gum is retracted and the roots are out, I am very concern with that diagnostic and surely there is something to do to stop the decay. I don’t feel any pain apart from when the dentist applies cold air/ water. I can’t afford implants at this moment in time , but can it get worse if nothing is done now ? Thanks for your help. What can be done about teeth that have decayed after wearing braces?

Good Afternoon I was wondering if you was able to help me when I was younger I had a brace on my teeth about a month before the brace was due to come off I went travelling for just over a year and kept the brace on the whole time I was away. This was about 5 years ago I finally had the brace removed but my teeth on my lower jaw are very badly decayed I have had to have two removed, and two towards the back are now rotten. I am now worried about my front teeth. My upper jaw not perfect but in a much better condition. I am worried about going back to the dentist because of the bad way my teeth are in. But I have to get something sorted because I am getting married in October and I would like my teeth to be in a better condition. I do not have a dentist at the moment but was wondering if you could help. Hope to hear from you soon Barry,

Anything be done about tooth decay due to prolonged breastfeeding?

My 3 year old son has decay which our dentist has said is due to prolonged night time breastfeeding. His front top teeth look terrible and the dentist has said our only options are extraction or leaving the teath to go black!. We feel that there must be an alternative that will not leave him facing horrible comments from other children. We do not have a great deal of money but would like to find out all our options. Why do top of molars have dark lines?
