The crowns I keep getting replaced make all my teeth look different sizes, any advice?

Friday, March 26th, 2010
Q.
Sorry, didn’t finish my questionand not sure if you received it so here goes again. I have a number of crowns which have been replaced over the years and each time the impression is taken from the ones before so they get bigger and longer each time. Anything that did not fit before, also does not fit again and any problems with receding gums are difficult to control. Do cosmetic surgeons have technology these days that make teeth the same size as the original. Having just paid an arm and a let to look like the winner of the Derby, is there a training school in the Midlands looking for volunteers.

Can I fix the gap in the back of my teeth consider plaque?

Monday, December 7th, 2009
Q.
Hello, If your reading this, THANK YOU for taking the time to answer my question. Ever since my last dental visit I noticed this gap in the back of my four bottom front teeth. Before it started to bother me I noticed a white lining around the bottom of my teeth (just on the bottom four in the front) It wasn’t until the other day that it started to bother me really bad. My tongue will NOT stop playing with the gap in the back of my two front teeth. I hope I didn’t make it worse by trying to figure out what it was. I can stick my fingernail between the gap and under my teeth where the white lining was on my teeth. I think I picked the white stuff off. My guess, it would be plaque.(I thought that stuff was hard to get off) How much would I be looking at to fix the gap in the back of my teeth? AGAIN THANK YOU FOR YOUR TIME YOU WOULD BE HELPING ME SO MUCH WITH A REPLY.

The base of the cavity is bit dark after having molar tooth removed Is its normal?

Wednesday, October 14th, 2009
Q.
Hi, I’ve had a molar tooth removed recently after it fractured from eating food. I took some photos with my camera to see if it was healing well and i noticed that at the base of the cavity it looked quite dark, almost silvery like my other fillings. Is it normal to be this colour?, could the dentist have just left the lower part of my tooth etc in my jaw? Can i send the photo to get your judgement? Thanks

What would be the cost for cosmetic bonding?

Monday, October 12th, 2009
Q.
Hi my front teeth are perfectly together, however there is a small gap at the outer edge of them between the next teeth. I was wondering how much (roughly) would cosmetic bonding cost to make them look perfect and also how long does it roughly take? ( how many sessions?) It is something that has bothered me for ages and it affects my confidence so I am hoping to get it fixed. Also i have moved to Uxbridge area of Middlesex, so are there any dentists that you know of who could recommend to carry out the procedure, although if required i wouldn’t mind travelling into London. kind regards

Advice on gap between the back of the crowns and gums

Sunday, September 20th, 2009
Q.
I had an absess in my upper gum and even after treatment my tooth began to darken, last year I told my dentist this was a problem as it was at the front of my mouth and showed when I smiled. He chose to fit a crown, this was done last year and although I am getting used to it it still does not feel right. I have just been to a check up and mentioned my concern to my dentist but after checking it he says it is fine. I feel like there is a gap between the back of the crown and my gum and fear food, fizzy drink etc are getting in behind it, is this normal to feel this?

Can u advice me on the best products/procedures available for whitening?

Tuesday, September 1st, 2009
Q.
Hi Rob, I am considering in-surgery whitening and wondered if you could advise on the best products/procedure available? (highest quality/results possible) How long it lasts? A good cost benchmark etc? My teeth are in good shape so i have ruled out veneers as i think whitening will give me the results i’m after. In particular i have heard of a “bio” laser treatment but have found very little info (I assume then that this is just the normal Zoom style treatment of gel + laser). I am based in Birmingham so would appreciate any recommendations for a surgery to go to! Many thanks in anticipation of your help! Regards

I had my to top front teeth recapped 7 weeks ago and had terrible pain ever since

Wednesday, September 24th, 2008
Q.
Hi, hope you can advise me. I have always seen a dentist every 6 to 9 months. About 5 years ago I pointed out tomy dentist that my teeth were mobile, but it was kind of ignored. On a weekend I needed emergency treatment due to pain. This dentist took 2 lower molars out and told me I had severe bone loss and needed all my teeeth out. This was 4 years ago. I have since seen a hygenist every 3 months and have a deep clean done, some teeth are now more stable. I have spent a fortune on my teeth in last 6 months with four new crowns, 4 veneers and a bridge. I had my to top front teeth recapped 7 weeks ago and had terrible pain every since, 4 courses of antibiotics, two of my new caps drilled through to have nerves removed, and temporary filling finally put in them. Need to see emergency dentist again tomorrow to have front filling taken back out as swelling from above tooth getting larger daily, even though I am on day 4 of another course of antibiotics. I am a single mum aged 48 and have now spent all my savings on my teeth. I feel generally unwell and keep getting a temperature, I have decided enough is enough, I have had years of tooth ache and have had lots of root canals done. I now want all my teeth removed, will a dentist do this for me and can I be put to sleep for it? Thank you for your time.

What are the best veneers lumineers, cerec, J.Kim ?

Sunday, February 10th, 2008
Q.
Having just had a quote from my dentist in Liverpool I felt more like I was being sold double glazing the way in which the price changed. I already have a now dated bridge in place of 3 teeth + 3 crowns + am looking to have veneers over my ten top teeth. I think I also need gum reshaping + obviously whitening of bottom teeth. My dentist recommended J. Kim veneers and said they were by far the best, but going on various websites everyone says differently some saying lumineers, cerec etc. Some even say they will do the whole process in one day, is this advisable and what veneers do you recommend? I would prefer to travel a bit to find someone who I could trust, do you do free consultations in Birmingham or if not is there someone who you could recommend. I do hope you can help.
