Hello dr andrew moore my question is since having 5 children my teeth have broke at the back of my mouthand they are horriable i dont think i have smiled properly for about 8 years i need alot of work doing on them and carnt afford it as i am a single parent could you give me some information on how to get help as i just want to smile again

Does failing to get a bridge lead to problems?

Hi, I only have 1 back molar tooth on the bottom rear (the 1 behind it & ahead of it had to be extracted). Are there any problems down the road if I don’t do anything about it – or should I be getting a bridge? I’m told a bridge will run around $3,000.00 but that’s a lot of money! Please let me know if there would be any problems leaving it as is? Thank you!

My son baby teeth is still strong without sign of being absorbed advice

Hi Dr Moore, My son is almost 10 year old and today his dentist told me that he may need to pull out two of his baby teeth because the adult teeth are underneath and one of the roots of the baby teeth are still showing strong without sign of being absorbed. I am wondering if the pulling is necessary (a must) because I would prefer waiting for them naturally fall off rather than the manual intervene. Can you give me some advices on which way is the best for my son? thanks

Hello,i have had many fillings in my 40 years ive recently had a front tooth taken out which had a root filling and a terrible mess made fitting a false tooth almost half the size of my other tooth cause of the impression im looking fow vaneers i think for a nice smile how much would this cost?? i have holes at least 2 plus discoloured teeth and as i say alot of fillings A LOT thank you

I have a very large filling in one of my upper rear teeth

Hi, my question relates to crowns. I have a very large filling in one of my upper rear teeth (second from the back) my dentist thought the cavity was really a bit large to be filling but i didn’t want to lose the tooth so it was filled. I’ve been very careful with it and its lasted about 8 months but part of the tooth has now broken off, i assume this will only get worse and so my question is can the filling be ground down allong with the remaining tooth to support a crown, or does the filling have to be removed and the crown bonded just to the tooth as i don’t think there will be enough material to bond to if the filling is removed. thanks.

I am extremely embarrassed about my teeth

Hello, I’m 18 years old and am extremely embarrassed of my teeth due to a diet when I was younger that used to be filled with sugar. I have had several at the back taken out.. 3 amalgam fillings and the rest seem to be decaying. I also have an extra tooth that overlaps one of the teeth on the front of my mouth. I am ashamed to smile and I have a phobia of the dentist and I feel whenever I visit the dentist they have an unfriendly attitude and are unsympathetic about the state of my teeth. They are really depressing me and I feel if I don’t get them fixed then I’ll always be unhappy. I was wondering, what do you think you cost would be to get them fixed? Thanks for taking the time to read and I hope to hear back from you.
