Suffer with severe psoriasis and been informed that the tin in my fillings is causing a reaction. Can these be replaced?
Q.
Hi there. I have suffered with severe psoriasis for approx. 20 years now, and have tried pretty much every treatment from steroidal creams and lotions to UV chambers and as yet nothing has proven to be effective. A number of years ago a kineaseologist told me that the tin within the fillings in my teath we causing a reaction that is directly related to my condition, he advised that I take yellow dock capsules in order to combat this reaction, however has proved inaffective. I have several fillings and am now at the stage of desperation where I am thinking about getting all the fillings replaced. I was wandering if you could please advise me on the best approach in order to achieve this and get some idea as regard to cost. I realise that this would be largely dependant on number of fillings etc. I’m sure I could get my dental records forwarded to you as required. I would very much appreciate any advice you may be able to give me.

There are many different “metal free” solutions to the replacement of old dental amalgam fillings and there are also ways to remove these old fillings to reduce the exposure to the metals whilst taking them out. This is one of the treatment types that we have expertise in. Costs can be anything from £100 to over £1000 per replacement depending on exactly what is required and the size of the old fillings.

The best thing to do is come for a detailed examination and consultation so we can assess your needs and come up with an appropriate treatment plan for you.
Kind regards
