Q. Namste Dr.Patel, I had 3 X-rays taken and they all indicate that I do not need a root canal, however I do have all the symptoms of needing a root-canal. Some dentists think that it is my gum disease which is responsible for the pain in one particular tooth (#19) and if I had to get a deep cleaning that would take care of it. Another dentist thinks that is not true. He feels that if that was the case then there would be pain in all the teeth. I am so confused. Could you please give me your opinion? Thanks.
