Should I get ortho treatment with NHS or private dentist?

Q. Hi there i was wondering if you could help me. I have recently started the process of orthadontic treatment. Im 22 years of age with an overbite. I recently saw a private orthadontist who advised me that i would need corrective jaw sugery to bring my top jaw back and move my lower jaw foward. But this would only be possible for me to do through the NHS rather than going private. I just want to know if i stayed with the private orthadontist and had my teeth straightened would i then be able to look in to having the sugery done?,
A. This would need to be carefully managed with your orthodontist and the oral surgeon who will carry out the jaw surgery.  You will need to discuss with your orthodontist whether he can treat you privately whilst you have the NHS carry out the surgery.
