recently my teeth have started to weaken

Q. Hello Komal, I’ve never been very happy with my teeth. I’m only 24 but recently they have started to weaken and I have noticed a visual apperance in them changing. I have numerious amounts of fillings and have had to have one tooth removed. This is due to lack of care of my teeth in my teenage years. Obviously I can’t repair the damage that was done but I don’t want it to get any worse. What can i do to not only improve my smile but also fix my teeth? Help please…. Kind regards

A. Thank you for your question
If you are worried that your teeth are weakening then the best thing to do is to have a consultation with a restotrative dentist. You need to have an assessment carried out to find out why the teeth are deteriorating. It could be due to the way your teeth fit together and there may be excess pressure on them. The back teeth which are heavily restored may also be breaking down. Any treatment that is carried out needs to be done so that the restorations designed for your teeth will last for as long as possible and will be the best thing for you.
If you are within travelling distance of my practice I would be happy to do a risk assessment and treatment plan for you. If you live in the North of England then the best person to go and see would be a dentist called Ken Harris, in Sunderland at River edge Dental practice.
My phone number is 01296 624 163
Kind Regards
