one front tooth is longer than the other will cosmetic contouring work

Q. Hi, One of my upper two front teeth is ever so slightly longer tha the other. The diference is small but it bothers me slightly and i wonder if i may be a candidate for cosmetic contouring? Also, some indication as to the costs of such treatment would be appreciated…

A. To find out if it’s a good idea you need an thorough examination, an xray of the tooth, two sets of plaster casts of your mouth original/ & with proposed modification . Maybe with a photo simulation. Costs around £100.

To do the reduction probably takes seconds, but knowing how much to remove & where takes the time. Also as detail bothers you you shouldn’t do anything irreversible until you know the end result
