My veneers are very sensitive and my gums bled when I was pregnant, can I do anything?

Q.
i had venneers 10 years ago, had a baby 6 months ago. top front veneer very sensitive lately when eating/drinking hot cold especially sugary foods. will this crown have to be replaced. my gums bleed alot whilst i was pregnant
A.
Hi

Congratulations on the baby!

The veneer may not necessarily have to be replaced…it really depends on what is wrong with it, if anything

Why don’t you go and ask your dentist to check everything over and make sure there’s no problems with this veneer or any of the others. When did you last have them all checked? It woudl also be important to find out why your gums have been bleeding. It’s often the case that gums bleed more during pregnancy but there is usually an underlying problem that you should have fully assessed

Hope that helps

hi mark,

been to dentist, she did xray got a infection. On amoxcillan 250mg 3x day for 7 days , root canal treatment in 8 days. Then 2nd visit 2x front crown prep with tempory. 3 rd visit 2x new crowns. Get free treatment on NHS because my bany is less than 1year old.

Go and see your dentist and have the veneers checked for any ledges and go and see a hygienist to see if the teeth need a deeper clean.
