my veneer are starting to become yellow would it be difficult to replace them
Q. Hi Dr Solanki, I had veneers on my top teeth over 10 years ago on the NHS, after about 1 year their are starting to become yellow, and have been for the past 9 years, i am now at a stage were they are effecting me and don’t smile because of that….would it be difficult to do so? thanks
A. It is not uncommon for veneers to need replacing after 10 years or so. It is like wearing a pair of shoes every day for 10 years- they will need repacing too!
You probably know this already, but if you weren’t happy with them after just a year- then you really should have done something about it then.
It sounds as though the veneers will need replacing. THis is soemething I do alot of and is relatively straight forward- providing that the teeth are healthy. You can discuss this with your chosen dentist to carry out the treatment. If the treatment is available to improve your smile and your confidence, then why not?
