My tooth looks different from my other teeth due to treatment, any suggestions for me?

Q. i hit my front left tooth about 20 years ago and killed the nerve i got a cap i think put over the tooth and it looked like new then after a few years it started to have a blue tinge to it i got another cap put on but this looked bigger and stuck out more also the colour didnt match iv just been to the dentist because i really dont want it any more (had it about 10 years now) iv got a temp cap on just now getting new one fitted in 2 weeks but the dentist said it might be the same because my tooth is (only slightly) pushed forward and they had some trouble matching my colour im spending a lot of money to try and feel better about this tooth but am worried it will just be the same i dont understand how they cant make it fit like the first one i had is there any other options to get my teeth to look the same please help,
A. It might be worth asking your dentist if you could see the technician so he can look at the shade of the adjacent tooth to help you get the best match possible as crowns at the front of the mouth are very difficult to colour match perfectly
