my teeth are not straight what can be done other than braces

Q. Rob Hi. I wanted to ask about my 2 front teeth, altho they aren’t crooked they are not striaght and slightly forward compared to the others, want can be done besides wearing braces to striaght them, the rest of my teeth are all in line.

A. If you do not want orthodontic braces, or the clear shell tooth movers such as clearstep or invisalign, a common alternative would be veneers. “Makeover” treatments often veneer at least the six upper front teeth. The prominent teeth are shaved back by a 1-3mm; the instanding teeth are thickened by about 1mm. the result blends & harmonises the overall appearance. A temporary version can be done with filling materials. Two veneers on the lateral incisors only (the teeth beside the two front teeth) is a compromise on rare occasions.

Further options such as dentures, implants, bridges & crowns are generally only considerations in cases where the natural teeth are in poor condition.
