My molar is broken and bleeding but I am scared to visit the dentist, any tips?

Q.
hi there, i would like some advice regarding dental treatment. here is my story, when i was a young man i was a regular visitor to the dentist, but as ive got older they have become less frequent, the reason for this is, as i was growing through my teens, i started having anxiety attacks, and whislt at the dentists i had on, i felt as though i couldnt breath with all the hands in my mouth, and i was gagging all the time feeling as thi i was choking. its embarrasing as i have a boken molar , and that is weeping blood, and my breath is smelly, but even tho im a 39 year old man i feel shaky at the thought of visiting a dentist, ive been looking at sedation dentisrty i would be very gratefull if you could tell me more about it. many thanks

Sedation is an popular choice for treating patients who suffer from panic attacks and phobias. The most powerfull form is given by injection into the hand or arm and uses midazolam a relative of valium. In a safe procedure you are able to talk to the dentist to let them know how you are doing. You are not asleep. However many patients have a short term memory block and later feel as though they were asleep.
Our anaesthetist does not leave your side during the procedure and a Dentist carries out the treatment.
We charge £145 for an hour appointment for sedation with the normal treatment costs on top.
