My gums are very sore, I have had conflicting opinions on whether I have gum disease, I also have an overbite, how can I deal with these problems?

Q.
Good Morning,
I hope you may beable to help ?
Since July 09, i have had 2 scale and polishes at different Dentists.
The first one said i have Gingivitis,
and to use Corsadyl gel.
I have been using this and the bleeding stopped after 4 months, but keeps returning.
I am in constant pain, and have had Anti biotics but they havent worked.
The second Hygienist said my Gums were very red and swollen, but i dont have Gum disease ?
I also have an Overbite and suffer with
TMJ, where my left jaw joint dislocates it’s self when im asleep !
I have tryed a Night Guard, but its not helping.

Please advise ?
Many Thanks.

Kind Regards.

A.
Firstly regular check up visits to a general dentist and hygienist is very important even more so your brushing technique at home is essential for the health of your teeth and gums. Gums become inflamed when they are irritated by plaque build up (this is Gingivitis) and if left will then progress in to Periodontal(gum) disease.

With your bite issues, you will be best to see a orthodontist to examine you and advise you from there.
