My dentist will not treat me because of my medical issues, should I go to another dentist?
Q. I take warfine for my medical issues can i get a dentist totreat me. My existing dentist said he would not treat me unless it is an emergency. Because i am working he said it cost a lot of money. Is that not my decision. I willgo elswhere now. Can you help.,
A. I suggest that you go to your local GP and get a covering letter to your dentist to explain what dental treatments will effect your mediacl condition. You see, not all dental treatments will pose problems when you take warfarin. Your dentist is obviously being over-cautious, but that doesn’t mean to say that you shouldn’t receive the dental treatment that you require. I hope this has helped and good luck.
