My dentist is very unprofessional, what do you suggest?

Q. Hi, this isn’t really a cosmetic question but I am really fed up with my dentist. She is a new nhs dentist (I am assuming straight out of uni) and has filled a tooth of mine with a white filling twice now. Both times it has been sensitive and she is now recommending root canal treatment. In between these two fillings she put a temporary filling in (on my friends recommendations who happen to be dentists) which was absolutely fine – no sensitivity whatsover which leads me to believe that the nerve is not the problem. She is very unprofessional and I do not trust her to do any more work on my teeth! What would you suggest? Change dentist and get the work completed elsewhere? I am concerned that the problem may be the white filling (or her work) rather than the tooth itself! Thanks.,
A. If you are unhappy then i would suggest that maybe you seek advice and make an appointment to see another dentist. Explain your concerns about the tooth in question to the dentist. Good luck. Dr K Solanki
