my daughter 13 years old she still has several milk teeth is it necessary to remove it?

Q. My daughter is already 13 years old as of september 19, 2009. She still have several milk teeth which were not replaced yet with permanent teeth. Is it necessary to remove her remaining milk teeth to make way for her permanent teeth to grow in its place? thank you very much doc..

A. Hi Removing the teeth doesn’t make the new ones grow down faster. It might be a case of just waiting while nature takes its course
