my 2 front teeth are starting to wear away badly
Q. Hi my 2 front teeth are starting to wear away badly and i ahve pain with them aswell it looks like acid erosion with the years off having fizzy drinks and also when i was younger i was buliemic and i think that my teeth have suffered from this aswell what would be the solution to sorting them and how much would it cost to get veneers?
A. Veneers will not be suitable if you have acid erosion on your teeth. The reason for this is that the whole of your tooth needs to be covered and veneers only cover the front. All porcelain crowns can be made almost as thin as veneers which means your teeth will not be destroyed. I can usually get crowns back from my laboratory that 0.5mm thick. You do need to go and see a dentist that is used to dealing with cosmetic dentistry as well as bite problems. Ask to see a portfolio and ask if the dentist has carried out cases similar to yours.If you are within travelling distance of my practice I would be happy to see you for a consultation.
