My 12 year old has a cracked tooth will it heal or does it need to be repaired?

Q. Hi dr.Glaister, My 12 years old son has a cracked tooth, will it heal by itself or does it needed to be repaired?

A. I would recommend taking your son to a dentist for an examination, a cracked tooth is a bit vague – your dentist will be able to look at the extent of the damage and determine if any treatment is needed
