Is what I’ve been quoted too expensive for the bridge?

Q. Hi, I have been quoted £1,840 for aporcelain bonded bridge fit to LL4-LL7, one lower tooth is missing. This seems a lot of money, I have been quoted £198 at my nhs dentist but they was not keen to do it as i have gum disease. This is under control and I see my hygeinist every 3 month and do homecare. Do you think this seems excessive and what would I be getting for that type of money compared to the nhs. thank you,
A. Difficult to say without seeing your teeth/gums first hand. If you are concerned you could seek another opinion? Every private practice is different with the types of materials and the laboratories they use to make bridge/crown work. I would recomended seeing a private practice to complete treatment such as this, it is up to you and your finances whether that is possible.
