Is it possible to have a dental veneer over a capped front tooth?

Q. Hi Is it possible to put a vaneer over a capped front tooth? I have a porcelain cap at the moment but where the gum has receded you can see the metal line. i had it filled in but am not really happy with the results. Please help!!! Thank you.,
A. You can but to be honest it is probably better to replace the crown.
