I would like to fix a crooked tooth and I’ve heard veneers might be an option. Are they available on the NHS and do you have any extra advice?

Q. My teeth are generally in good health, however my front right central incisor is crooked and bumpy along the edge. I was refused braces on the NHS when I was 14 as they said my teeth were not severely bad enough to warrant braces (however I could pay for them myself if I wished, but this was not an option). The tooth really bothers me and I was wondering if a veneer would be a good idea? I’ve heard they’re not very good in the long term and would like some advice please! Also is it likely to be available on the NHS as I am still under 18? Kind Regards, any information is greatly appreciated! ,
A. Orthodontic treatment is only available free of charge on the NHS for young people who are under 18 years of age and who have a clear clinical need for treatment. You would need to see a NHS to see if you a suitable.
