i want to have a sliver tooth, and i live in malaysia so how can i get it and how dose it reach me to any place am in.

Q. Hi DR. i want to have a sliver tooth, and i live in malaysia so how can i get it and how dose it reach me to any place am in. i will be greatfull if you respond to my question thank you so much i will be waiting for you answer.

A.

To have a ‘silver tooth’ made you will need to go and see a dentist because the tooth that you intend to have silver will need to be reduced in order to fit a silver casing around it. This is called a silver crown.
Once the tooth has been reduced, impression are taken of this and you leave the surgery with a temporary crown while your silver crown is being made in the laboratory. This ususally takes around 2 weeks to be made. You then return to the surgery to have the temporary crown removed and the silver crown cemented.

Having said this you may find you have some difficulties in finding a dentist that would carry out this treatment for you. Having a healthy tooth reduced and fitting it with a silver crown is very invasive and may be a decision you regret in the future.

If you decide in the future that you would like a natural looking tooth there again you will have to have a porcelain crown made that will blend into the colour of your other  teeth. It will not be possible to have your natural tooth back. Having a silver corwn an irreversable treatment. You should also keep in mind that crowns have to be replaced every 10-15 years.
