I want braces for over ject teeth

Q. I am 18 and want to have braces as my front two teeth are overjet.my local dentist said it will cost 2000 or over to get braces.but i am in full time education and according to british dental health foundation im entitled to free treatment. is there a way of getting my teeth straight but not taking as long as 2-3 years?

A. You will only be entitled to free treatment on the NHS. Unfortunately this does not cover braces or cosmetic work. Even children that need braces have to have it done privately if they don’t fall into the right categories. You could go and see if an Nhs dentist would put veneers on your two front teeth but I doubt they will. There may not be any other option for you but to wait until you can afford to have it done. Unfortunately the dentists hands are tied when it comes to this. I’m sorry I could not be of more help
Kind Regards
