I veneers was fitted 5 days ago and my tooth is now quite sore and sensitive is it normal?

Q. Hi, My front tooth was knocked out when I fell over a few years ago but i managed to push it back into place with my tongue. After that happened i got root canal treatment on that tooth. Over the years the tooth had become discoloured so I decided to get a veneer. The veneer was fitted 5 days ago and my tooth is now quite sore and sensitive. Is this normal? Do I need to get the root canal checked? Please help.

A. I’m sure that the dentist took x-rays prior to the vener being fitted, as this is standard practice. After having the tooth prepared etc, it is not uncommon for the teeth to be a little sensitive, but this usually settles down within the first week.
I would advise that you return to the dentist and stress your concern.

My veneer on my bottom tooth is very sore to touch, what do you think would be wrong? I had my dental work done about a month ago in the chez republic.

If the veneer is sore the tooth may require root canal treatment. this mean due to the procedure you had done the tooth’s nerve has got infected. hope this is helpful. i would probably get yourself to a dentist to have this tooth checked out.

No, after three months it should be better. See another dentist.
