No not at this age, he has lost the teeth early so it may take a while for the new ones to come through.

I am 23 years old. I was not aware that I still have a milk teeth left to fall off. Yesterday my dentist took off my milk teeth as it had started to loosen up. However the x-ray report does not show the growth of the permenant teeth above the milk teeth which i got removed. He said that I still have two more teeths yet to come other than the wisdom tooth. However, I cant see any space where these two teeths can grow. I have been asked to take an x-ray of all my teeths which would determine where exactly the teeth is growing. Is such a condition normal?Could you advice me on this condition. Regards.

Dear Enquirer, The xrays will show where your permanent teeth are (if they are present). Once your dentist sees the xray he/she can determine what treatment is required. Regards,

I am 30 years old, I have had the brace since last year. The proble with my teeth was i used to have milk tooth 3rd on the right top which became not stable so my dentist decided to pullit out and replaced this whole by bridge, so she cut my healthy tooth(2rd and 4 th on top) after about 2 months my permanent 3 rd teeth was coming from the palate. I went to orthodontic and she recommended me to get rid of the bridge and put on brise which I accepted. All things took a place in Poland, I came to U.K last year, last my appointment with my orhodontic was inApril since this time I have not visited her, my brace has broken . I wouldlike to have appointment in Your clinic for new advices or new treatment.Iam not coming back Poland so I would like to have regular visit here or maybe get rid of this brace, I am really sick and tired of all what was happened .I will be very greatful. Thank You

My son is 12 yrs old, he was told he was not eligible for braces by orthadontics because of the cut backs. He just missed the cutoff. In my opinion his teeth are very out of shape. My question is does he have to wait until all his baby teeth are gone. What would the cost be as well.

I was told when I was 17 that I have no adult teeth to come through on all 4 of my ‘second pre molars’. I am now 24 and my baby teeth have started to decay. I’ve been told they cannot be filled and have to come out. I am scared because I dont know what I will do about my teeth. How will I be able to eat with 4 of my back teeth missing? I’ve been putting off going to see a dentist because I am so frightened of bein toothless at 24. Is there anything that can be done on the NHS or am I looking at expencive cosmetic dentistry?

Santino Says :

Dear Enquirer, If you have gaps present after losing your baby teeth, you can opt for braces to close the gaps or implants /bridges to restore the gaps. This is not available under the NHS as it will be classed as a cosmetic treatment. Don’t be frightened, you have many options. Regards,

I would love to get braces in order to have straighter teeth, however I have been put off the idea because i still have a baby canine tooth. Dentistshave told me that my ‘big’ tooth, which is still in the gum, will probably not move the duration of my life. I really don’t want to have a gap if my baby tooth were to fall out. Is it possible to have braces with some sortof temporary or even permanent fake tooth at the same time?

Hi, my 13yr old son has no adult teeth to come up for his two front bottomteeth, he has just one baby tooth left and obviously a gap, as this is a congenital defect I wonder if any help is available to us under the NHS as unfortunately we do not have the financial funds to go privately. Any help orsuggestions you can offer would be greatly appreciated, as obviously thisis quite limiting for him in terms of social interaction and self esteem. Many thanks for your time.

Hello, I am 24 and do not have a full compliment of adult teeth. I have 6 milk teeth remaining (2 others were extracted at the age of around 14 and sofrustratingly have been told i do not qualify for NHS implants). I am getting married on 2nd June and am looking for a cosmetic fix for my upper teeth on a budget. I would very much like a rough estimate of the cost of having bonding to my front upper 6 teeth to temporarily fix my teeth until i canafford implants. I already have bonding on one of my upper teeth to repaira large chip and it has lasted very well. Many thanks

My son is 13 and needs quite a few of his baby teeth removing. They said he will have to have chains put in to bring his big teeth down. What does this mean and how does it work. Is it like a brace? His big teeth are in his gums will it take a long time for them to come down? Does this procedure happen a lot? They said it wil be done under general anesthetic and will only be day surgery. Could you explain how this works?

Graham Says :

The teeth are trapped in the bone so the chains will help drag the teeth down. It is a very common problem and this is very routine, do not worry call me if you need any advice.

there is not proper enamel on my son’s teeth. He is 8 years old. His milk teeth were excellent but the new ones which have come now are not having a proper outer surface.

Alexys Says :

Likely there is an enamel defect which occured during development. Go to the dentist to find out what can be done. Treatment early can head off alot of problems later.
