I have very overcrowded bottom incisors

Q. Hi, I have very overcrowded bottom incisors (two teeth very rotated) and recently visited a cosmetic dentist who advised making an appointment with orthodontist. Visited orthodontist last week who suggested removal of one lower incisor and then brace to correct (some minor gum recession on tooth he wishes to remove). However, I cannot find much information on being left with three lower incisiors but have read this can increase overbite and I already have a moderate overbite. Would really like to sort this out – any advice on whether you feel this is a good option or alternative treatments? Been advised not suitable for veneers due to lack of space. Thanks,

A.

In some orthodontic cases a lower incisor may be extracted to create space. Each case is different.

If you are unsure, then i would recommend you get a second opinion, which would involve an examination of the mouth.
