I have to have root canal treatment and the dentist has agreed to avoid adrenaline in my anesthetic but are there any side effects of the injection without adrenaline and will it be ok for this proceedure?

Q. Hi, On 2 occasions in the recent past I have suffered a panic attack after infiltration of the local anaesthetic whilst having fillings, I know this is due to the adtenaline in the injection ( and my fear) I now have to have root canal treatment and the dentist has agreed to avoid adrenaline but are there any side effects of the injection without adrenaline and will it be ok for this proceedure? Is there any chance the medication can affect other parts of thee body. Many Thanks

A. Hi
there is no real difference you might need more of it. if you had panic attacks after injections in the lower jaw this may be because a blood vessel also had some anaesthetic injected around it which is hard to avoid.#
if it was after injections in the upper arch this is psychological and you will need a different type of doctor
