I have terrbile pain when I chew and I don’t know why, the dentist said everything is fine! What could be the matter?

Q. I had a filling put in my very back tooth about 6 weeks ago. Ever since then I keep a terrible aching in jaw whenever I chew, although the pain is under a tooth that was not fixed. It is actually under a crown. It is sensitive to hot and cold. I went back to the dentist this week and he adjusted the bite, but it is still causing some pretty terrible aching pain. HELP! The dentist did an xray and said everything looked fine for all the teeth on that side.,
A. It sounds like the start of an abscess, this doesn’t show on an x-ray at first try to get it fixed asap

Yes,a visual assessment can be made by the presence of a swelling and sinus. You will see something similar a pimple on the skin.
